Third stop Byron Bay - My love <3
and welcome back :)
I hope you guys having a great day.
How did you like our 1st Vlog btw, have you already watched it?
What happened since Port Stephens? Like you guys already know, we left Port Stephens on Monday and our first quick stop was Nambucca Heads.
Nambucca Heads is a town on the Mid North Coast of NSW. It's located next to the Nambucca River. It's a really nice place with different spots which you can visit.
For example, the painted rocks, Captain Cook Lookout, Rotary Lookout, etc.
We went to the Captain Cook Lookout, which is my favorite. We went actually quite early in the day and also under the week, which was the reason that we were the only people there, so of course... another round for the drone. We got some really nice shots, but see for yourself.
Next station was, BYRON BAY - Omg, I love this little town so much! Byron is I would say a spiritual/hippie town. The people there are so lovely and chilled, it's just amazing. You can literally feel the spirit of the town. You guys have to know that I already lived there for two months when I came to Australia in the beginning. So I was super excited to go back there and to show my dad my favorite place in Australia so far. On our first day, we went to the Main Beach and did a little bit of shopping in the town. Btw, if you're interested in surfing, Byron is a wonderful place for it, also if you wanna make some ayurvedic/yoga experiences. You also have amazing beaches in and around Byron Bay. My favorite beach is definitely "Tallow Beach", it's the beach behind the lighthouse. At the right end of the beach, there is a little tea tree lake called "Tallow Creek" you should go there, it's amazing. The lake is colored in rainbow colors because of the tea tree oil which comes from the trees around, but that's not the only good thing on it, it's also super healthy to take a bath in the tea tree lake, the aboriginal women already did it ages ago.
Another really nice spot in Byron is the lighthouse. You can go there by car or you can do the lighthouse walk. The walk is quite long but really nice if you don't mind walking a mountain up. Anyways you will have an amazing view up there and if you're lucky you can see some whales too. :)
We were actually supposed to fly the drone, but the ranger told us that there is a 300$ fine for flying drones in a national park. So we just filmed everything with the "Sony alpha 6500", which is an amazing Vlog camera btw, it's super easy for learning how to handle a professional camera.
You can see the content in our 2nd Vlog which is coming soon.
Later in the evening my dad and I had dinner and afterward, we met a friend of mine. Sonja, I know her from my first time in Byron. We shared a "Tippi" (yes, the tent) and beds for two months. We had a wonderful evening and guess what, Sonja will come and visit us on the weekend for a night out in Surfers Paradise. But more about our night out and the stops in between in my next post.
PS: Whenever you'll be in Byron make sure you go to the drum circle.
It's every evening on the Car park next to the Main Beach, you can go there dancing and singing with the locals... AND if you'll ever be there on a Sunday go and visit Hotel Brunswick in Brunswick Head. They always have different artists, it's a kind of a local party and it's free ;)
Well, that's it. Stay tuned for the upcoming post.
